Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3–5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.
If you require expedited processing, please contact us at hello@porticella.co prior to placing your order. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, expedited processing is not guaranteed.

Packaging
All items are packed with great care using high-quality protective materials appropriate for fragile and antique goods. Where possible, recycled or biodegradable materials are used.
Due to the nature of antique items, packaging methods may vary to ensure maximum protection during transit.

Shipping Carriers
Orders are shipped via Canada Post, USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on destination, item size, and the safest available shipping method.
Carrier selection is at Porticella’s discretion to ensure secure delivery.

Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on destination, package size, weight, and selected service level.

Customs Duties, Taxes & Import Fees
Buyers are solely responsible for any customs duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, or import charges imposed by their destination country.
These fees:
• Are not included in product prices or shipping costs
• Are assessed by customs authorities
• Vary by country and shipment
Porticella has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

Antique Exemptions (United States Buyers)
Certain items over 100 years old may qualify for duty exemption under HS Code 9706.00, subject to review by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Eligibility for exemption is not guaranteed and is determined solely by the customs officer processing the shipment. Porticella cannot guarantee duty-free entry, even when items qualify as antiques.

Non-Antique Items
Items under 100 years old may be subject to customs duties or taxes. These charges vary by country and are beyond our control.
For estimates regarding potential import fees, buyers are encouraged to contact their local customs office prior to purchase.

Risk of Loss & Delivery Responsibility
Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer once the order is transferred to the shipping carrier.
Porticella is not responsible for:
• Carrier delays
• Customs processing delays
• Packages delayed or lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided by the buyer

Lost or Delayed Shipments
While we are not responsible for carrier delays or losses, we will make reasonable efforts to assist buyers in filing claims or locating shipments where possible.

Damaged Shipments
All items must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
If an item arrives damaged:
• You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
• Clear photographs of the item, packaging, and shipping materials are required
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may void any claim.
