Rare mid-century French porcelain condiment jar, charmingly modelled as miniature champagne buckets complete with champagne bottles nestled into sculpted “ice.” These novelty jars were sold in the Champagne region during the 1940s–1960s as tourist souvenirs — each inscribed with the name of a local city: Reims and Troyes.
The ribbed bucket form, silver-painted handles, and hand-finished lettering give them irresistible character. Perfect for styling on a bar cart, dressing a holiday table, or adding a playful French touch to kitchen shelves. They were originally used for mustard, tapenade, or sauces, and now make wonderful decorative accents.
