19th century French Belle Epoque neoclassical transferware and cast brass vase

$135.00
Description

A striking and rare 19th-century French Belle Époque vase, featuring an elegant neoclassical transferware body set atop a richly cast brass socle base. The cream ground is decorated with scrolling acanthus, medallions, urn motifs, and a central classical figure—an iconic aesthetic of late-19th-century French decorative arts.

The base is beautifully detailed with beading and fluting, giving the piece weight and presence. Though no longer watertight, it makes an exquisite display piece for branches, dried florals, or as a sculptural object on a mantel or console. An interior vessel may be added if fresh flowers are desired.
